Glucophage (Metformin) is an oral diabetes medicine that helps control blood sugar levels. Glucophage is for people with type 2 diabetes. Glucophage is sometimes used in combination with insulin or other medications, but it is not for treating type 1 diabetes. Proventil is a bronchodilator that relaxes muscles in the airways and increases air flow to the lungs. Proventil is used to treat or prevent bronchospasm in people with reversible obstructive airway disease. It is also used to prevent exercise-induced bronchospasm. Propranolol is available in generic form as propranolol hydrochloride, as well as an AstraZeneca and Wyeth product under the brand names Inderal, Inderal LA, Avlocardyl.
